Your donations to the Friends of Tulare County Emergency Relief Fund Program will support emergencies in a wide-scale effort to protect the safety of persons and property in Tulare County. With the COVID-19 pandemic hitting Tulare County in March 2020, COVID-19 and previous local emergencies have taken a toll on County resources. The general public has looked to various County departments for solutions and action. The County has a need to develop additional resources to resolve gaps as well as be evolutionary in how it handles needs, messages, and deliverables, as well as assisting health care and community partners who bring a unique service to the county.
You can donate securely via PayPal or credit card below. If you are a county employee, you also can take advantage of utilizing the payroll deduction form. Donations received will be utilized depending upon the local emergency need. The Friends of Tulare County Board of Directors will oversee this program, including decisions on use of donations to help alleviate potential gaps for Tulare County, whose residential population continues to grow and currently exceeds more than 460,000 (as of 2019 per DATA USA).
In addition to monetary donations, this relief fund is accepting in-kind donations of supplies in support of the COVID-19 response. In-kind donations are being accepted at all Tulare County-operated fire stations. Donors are encouraged to contact their fire station to coordinate a drop-off. Please be patient, as fire personnel may be called away to emergency calls at any time. (Note: this does not include city, CAL FIRE, or federal fire stations.)
Also there is a real need to assist our residents who are isolated or quarantined due to contracting or being exposed to COVID-19. Many of these households are facing unexpected financial hardships due to job loss or the inability to return to work due to COVID-19. Many were not prepared to stay at home for an extended period of time, some live alone, and others do not have family in the area that can assist. As we continue to support those affected by COVID-19 and serve those who are most vulnerable, we are committed to the health and safety of our community members.
