Donations to the Wellness & Recovery program may be used throughout the year to purchase wellness-related incentives for consumers of mental health services. They may be used to enhance program and group activities, such as movies, bowling, and similar opportunities for socialization.
Funds may also be utilized for the annual Wellness & Recovery Friends & Family picnic that is held during Mental Health Matters Month in May of each year. This event is held as a celebration of consumers’ progress and includes an awards ceremony. Funds may be utilized to purchase raffle prizes for this event. As needed, funds may also be used for consumers’ one-time emergency expenses that are not allowable under other County funds.
