Donations to the Probation At-Risk Youth programs, which include the Family Preservation, Team Supervision, and Foster Youth units, provide necessary supports for youth on probation who have multiple, complex needs. Some are youth who are on the cusp of losing their family placement and being ordered into foster care, while others are currently in foster care or group homes, and yet others are on probation but need enhanced supervision.
All these youth are considered disadvantaged and in need of significant help. Some are student athletes, band members, artists, or involved in extracurricular activities, but many have not been afforded an opportunity to participate in such activities. Having funding available to sustain or introduce pro-social activities can assist with the youths' success on probation and also help them gain the skills and insight necessary to maintain that success.
