The 52nd Annual Senior Day in the Park, held on May 10th at Mooney Grove Park, was a resounding success. CSET, in collaboration with K/T AAA—Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging, organized the event to bring together residents of all ages to honor and celebrate our beloved seniors and their families.
Held annually in May, Senior Day in the Park has become a cherished tradition in Tulare County. It's a day dedicated to recognizing the contributions, wisdom, and vibrant spirit of our older adults, who have played integral roles in shaping our community.
From early morning until mid-afternoon, the park buzzed with activity. Tables adorned with colorful decorations lined the pathways, offering an array of treats and refreshments for attendees to enjoy. With a Back to The Future theme, attendees were taken back with a blast from the past!
One of the event's highlights was the performance by Jeremy “Elvis” Pearce. Various activities and entertainment were organized throughout the day to cater to different interests and abilities. Volunteers circulated, ensuring that all attendees felt welcomed.
This year’s memorable Senior Day in the Park was filled with laughter, reminiscence, and celebration—a testament to the enduring spirit of our community and the invaluable role that our senior citizens play in shaping its identity.
Looking ahead, organizers are already planning for next year's event, eager to continue the tradition of honoring and cherishing our seniors.
