When state and local funding for worthwhile local programs runs short, Friends of Tulare County (FTC) steps in to help fill the gaps.
Accepting donations on behalf of the County of Tulare, FTC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that accepts donations on behalf of programs and services provided by the Health & Human Services Agency, Tulare County DA, the Fire Department, Fish & Wildlife, Parks & Recreation, Probation, Step Up, the Suicide Prevention Task Force, Homelessness programs, and the County’s Emergency Relief Fund. Donations made to FTC stay right here to help support folks in our own community.
Recent donations received through FTC include over $120,000 to Animal Services, nearly $10,000 to the CWS Toy Drive, and a grant of over $200,000 from Listos California that was used for local COVID-19 messaging.
Friends of Tulare County was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2003. It is an all-volunteer organization consisting of a seven-member unpaid Board, and all work performed by FTC representatives with regard to solicitation of donations and applications for grant funding is performed by unpaid volunteers.
