You’re invited to help Friends of Tulare County, in collaboration with Adult Protective Services, raise funds for World Elder Abuse Awareness—a worthy cause for a global social issue that affects the health and human rights of millions of older persons around the world.
Did you know? Approximately 1 in 10 Americans over age 60 experience some form of elder abuse. According to a 2017 study, 15.7% of people over age 60 experienced some type of abuse, but it is likely underestimated, since only 1 in 24 cases of elder abuse are reported.
Here’s how you can help.
