The Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging helps provide programs and activities for local senior citizens, from arts and crafts to Medicare counseling, line dancing to home-delivered meals. Your donations to the Area Agency on Aging will help us continue to provide a wide range of services and activities to encourage older Americans to remain healthy, active, and involved in the community.
SPTF envisions a county without suicide and aims to accomplish this by implementing a full range of strategies, starting from prevention and early intervention. Your donations to the SPTF will help increase prevention and early intervention services, and help our community members better understand and recognize the signs and symptoms of suicide risk.
Donations to the Homeless Fund will help supply toiletries, clothing, identification card/application fees, furnishings, or cooking utensils/appliances, or may fund expenses like a utility bill or car repair for those experiencing, at risk for, or exiting homelessness.
Contributing toward the support of our local veterans through the VSO General Fund is a great opportunity for the members of the community to give back and thank veterans for their services.
The funds donated to the Human Services At-Risk Youth fund benefit youth who are participating in an employment program and working to make the transition to adulthood and self-sufficiency. This program helps youth in need of emergency monies for necessities such as transportation, work apparel, utilities, medical, dental, and prescription expenses.
For more than five decades the Lily Pond was a popular water feature in Mooney Grove Park. Due to the increasing cost of repair and maintenance over time, the Lily Pond is been non-functional for the past 15 years. To avoid demolition and to honor the history of the Lily Pond, the County is seeking donations from the community to help repair and restore the Lily Pond.
Your donations to the Step Up program will be used for collateral items (i.e., T-shirts, backpacks, etc.), venue rental, event food, printing, speakers' fees, awards, materials, and other items associated with Step Up—a movement to encourage youth to participate in extracurricular activities, foster positive associations, and connect to constructive social networks.

The Friends of Tulare County invites youth in grades 7–12 in Tulare County to participate in the Listos CV19 Youth Media Challenge during the month of September. In collaboration with Self-Help Enterprises and the California Office of Emergency Services along with community partner Tulare County Office of Education, the purpose of the competition is to highlight youth-created art focused on promoting COVID-19 safety guidelines in languages representing Tulare County, utilizing two categories: graphic design and video.
The Friends of Tulare County Emergency Relief Fund Program is accepting donations to support the COVID-19 response. There is a real need to assist our residents who are isolated or quarantined due to contracting or being exposed to COVID-19. Many of these households are facing unexpected financial hardships due to job loss or the inability to return to work due to the virus.

Friends of Tulare County (FTC), which serves a diverse population, began looking for a way to assist residents when the COVIC-19 pandemic hit Tulare County in March 2020. FTC realized the County’s need for additional resources to resolve funding gaps, as well as to be forward-thinking in every aspect of the way the County addresses the pandemic, while also assisting health care and community partners who bring a unique service to the county.

The Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging (K/T AAA) and its staff would like to thank all our wonderful community members, both the private individuals and the organizations that supported the Senior Holiday Stocking Drive in 2019. This year’s campaign was the largest ever, with 600 gift-filled holiday stockings being delivered to our local seniors.
Child Welfare Services and Friends of Tulare County would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's toy drive. Toys were provided through the generosity of Tulare County's business organizations, civic groups, residents, and the faith-based community.
Many little elves from across the community are busy this week wrapping gifts donated for the Friends of Tulare County and CWS Toy drive benefiting children and youth in foster care.
The Fill the Trolley events for the Friends of Tulare County Child Welfare Services Children’s Toy Drive will occur at the Sequoia Plaza Mall, 3303 S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia on Saturday, November 16, 23, and 30, and at the Visalia Mall, 2031 S. Mooney Blvd., on Sunday, November 10, 17, 24, and December 1.
Join us on November 2 anytime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. for a delicious pancake breakfast with Friends of Tulare County at Applebee’s, Visalia. Tickets for this event are $10 dollars each, and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit the CWS Toy and Stockings for Seniors drives. Participants will also have the option of dining in or taking out.
Tulare County Parks & Recreation has collaborated with CSET for this year’s Make a Difference Day Event and we want to invite all of you to join us Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at Mooney Grove Park (27000 S. Mooney Blvd Visalia, CA 93277).
As the seasons change so do the needs for one of our most vulnerable populations in the County. With the assistance of Tulare County employees, Stockings for Senior Citizens hopes to bring joy to Tulare County’s isolated and homebound senior citizens this upcoming holiday season.

Tulare County Animal Services provides a “wish list” of items to be donated towards animal care and adoption services. Donations are welcome all year round and are greatly appreciated. “Wish list” items can include: towels, grooming supplies, puppy pads, toys, treats, dry food, or similar other items.
