The Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging (K/T AAA) provides programs and activities for the seniors amongst us, many of whom have a low, fixed income, and some who are homebound. Programs that help to enhance the lives of our senior citizens include providing fresh, healthy meals at numerous senior centers throughout the county, as well as home-delivered meals to those who require it.
K/T AAA also arranges for activities like bingo, arts & crafts, exercise sessions, and line dancing at the senior centers, as well as games, puzzles, and birthday celebrations, all of which provide opportunities for seniors to get out of the house and socialize, thus avoiding depression and isolation.
Other programs include Medicare counseling, information and assistance, health promotion, and elder abuse prevention, and the K/T AAA also coordinates the annual Senior Day in the Park during Older Americans Month in May and the Stockings for Seniors drive during the holidays. Your donations to the Area Agency on Aging help us continue to provide a wide range of activities to encourage older Americans to remain healthy, active, and involved in the community.
